Claude AI and tools
Yes. VocoScript requires a Claude Pro account at claude.ai, billed separately at $20/month. This is not included in the program cost. Claude Pro gives you access to Claude Projects, which is what VocoScript is built on.
Beyond Claude Pro: a smartphone with a voice memo app, a free Google Drive account, and your phone's built-in transcription tool. All free.
We recommend Google Drive because it is free, works on any device, and makes it easy to keep your transcripts, outlines, and chapter drafts organized in one place that syncs automatically. That said, if you already have a system you prefer, whether that is Dropbox, OneDrive, Notion, or something else entirely, it will work just as well. The important thing is having a consistent place to store and find your files as you move through the program.
Claude is significantly better at long-form writing. It holds tone, voice, and context across much longer outputs without drifting, which matters when you are building chapters that need to sound like the same person wrote them. Claude Projects also allow Claude to remember your entire book context across every session, so you never have to re-explain what your book is about, who your reader is, or what your voice sounds like. VocoScript's prompts are built specifically for Claude and are not compatible with ChatGPT without significant rework.

Completely. Every idea, story, lesson, and insight comes directly from your spoken responses. Claude acts as a skilled editor, structuring and polishing your words without introducing new ideas or replacing your voice.
